Walk through the Treetops at Myriad Botanical Gardens (Oklahoma City)

Who needs a zipline through the jungles of Costa Rica? Okay. While that does sound amazing, you can also skim the tops of palm trees in Oklahoma City. At Myriad Botanical Gardens, you climb (many) stairs to the treetop bridge that spans the entire length of the garden. Bonus: Admission’s free for kids under three.

Watch out for the troll from The Three Billy Goats Gruff as he guards the treetop bridge at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Until the end of 2009, the gardens feature Conservastory, showcasing famous characters from fairy tales and literature. Don’t Forget Your Toll

When we traveled to Tulsa, OK, we paid $3.50 each way at the toll booth.My suggestion: Store emergency money ($5-10) in your glove compartment.You should also check your route before traveling.But believe me, the emergency money has saved me many times and I actually do remember that it’s there when I need it.
